PoolRx quickly kills existing algae and prevents new algae from growing.

Chelated minerals allow modest levels of chlorine to be more productive in the water, resulting in incredible clarity.

The minerals dissolve entirely and promptly out of the unit, forming a stable residual across the entire body of water. The minerals are regenerated as they pass by the PoolRx unit during circulation.

The process of killing algae, backwashing, splash out, and filter cleanings deplete the minerals. PoolRx booster minerals can be added as needed for longer seasons, larger pools, harsh conditions, or green pools. For best results, replace the PoolRx unit at the start of each season.

PoolRx works well with Chlorine, Salt, UV, and Ozone systems. PoolRx is ideal for both residential and commercial use, since it can support any size body of water.

PoolRx works great with Salt Water Pools

PoolRX minerals fight algae continually, allowing low levels of salt chlorine to be more active and available in the water. Because there is less high pH salt chlorine in the water, it takes less acid to balance the pH.

  1. PoolRX eliminates the need to clean the salt cell as regularly.
  2. PoolRx minerals contain a natural de-scaler, which prevents scale from easily adhering to the salt cell, surfaces, and equipment. As a result, you won’t have to clean it as regularly.
  3. PoolRx will help you extend the life of your salt cell.
  4. Less salt chlorine generation and less cell cleaning have been shown to extend the life of the salt chlorine generator.
  5. With PoolRX, you can have a healthier, happier salt pool with algae-free, crystal clear water, while using fewer chemicals and exerting less work. It’s as simple as that.

Chlorine Solutions Answers Your Questions About PoolRx

  1. Begin by installing a clean filter.
  2. Place the appropriate size PoolRX Unit/s in the skimmer basket or pump basket. Commercial: Place unit(s) in pump basket(s), and pour extra minerals into skimmers as needed.
  3. Ensure that the pump runs for at least 3 to 4 hours after installation to allow minerals to dissolve entirely.
  4. Do not backwash or clean the filter for at least two weeks following installation in order to allow minerals to flow through. Commercial: If feasible, skip one backwash cycle. Backwash based on pressure rather than habit.
  5. Keep the PoolRx unit(s) in the basket for the full year so that minerals can be renewed during circulation.
  1. Maintain normal pool chemistry with a lower chlorine residual for optimal outcomes. Minimum ppm of free chlorine in the home (0.5-1.0) – Commercial: Minimum ppm of free chlorine (1.0-5.0).
  2. If you want to maintain a higher chlorine ppm, PoolRX will allow you to do so while using LESS chlorine.
  3. Minerals are lost as a result of algae killing, backwashing, filter cleaning, and splash out.
  4. For larger pools, difficult circumstances, green pools, or a longer season, booster minerals should be supplied as needed

PoolRx employs a patented chelating chemical that inhibits discoloration and fall out caused by pH fluctuations or over oxidation. PoolRx is quite stable and effective in some of the worst water and harshest pool conditions.

You can’t accurately test for our minerals in water because of our severe chelation. The following factors will indicate whether it is time to apply Booster Minerals: Time has passed since you first installed the PoolRx Unit six months ago. The demand for chlorine has skyrocketed, implying that the minerals in the water are depleted. If you notice any signs of algae, it’s time to apply PoolRx Booster Minerals.

Green to clean in half the time and half the money. PoolRx eliminates existing algae and prevents it from returning!

  1. Begin with a fresh filter.
  2. pH testing and balancing (ideally 7.2-7.4)
  3. Apply the appropriate PoolRx united based on the total gallons of pool.
    – Blue Unit – 7,500-20,000 gallons
    – Black Unit – 20,000-30,000 gallons
    – Booster Unit – 7,500 to 20,000 gallons (add additional mineral booster for larger pools or extreme conditions)
  4. Insert the PoolRX unit into the pump basket.
  5. Increase the chlorine level to 2.0ppm.
  6. Leave the circulation pump running for 24 hours.
  7. After 24 hours, vacuum the pool and clean the filter once again.
  8. Depending on the severity of the algae, repeat steps 5–7 until the pool shines.

Please keep in mind that the PoolRx guidelines for Green to Clear differ from those for installing PoolRx in a pool with a typical algae problem. These instructions are for really green pools. The color “green” indicates that you can’t see the pool stairs. Minerals are lost as a result of algae kill, backwashing, filter cleaning, and splash out. So, in a Green to Clear condition, the minerals will not last 6 months. Because every Green to Clear situation is unique, the longevity of the minerals will be determined by the severity of the algae and the conditions of the pool after it clears. Typically, a Green to Clear condition will necessitate a booster after some time. When the water becomes hazy, the chlorine requirement rises, or you notice algal spots reappearing, you will need to add a booster.

PoolRx prolongs the life of your equipment, saves you money and improves the quality of your water. PoolRx use a patented chelating method to molecularly bond the minerals and protect them from falling out of solution due to fluctuations in pH.

The PoolRx device has a 12-month effective life in water. After the first 4-6 months, you’ll need to apply 1 PoolRx booster (#102001) per 20k gallons to keep the product working for the rest of its life. Do not remove the unit from the skimmer or pump basket.

PoolRx Spa units employ the same mineral combination and rejuvenation technology as PoolRx pool units. The only distinction is the size of the unit and the amount of minerals contained within each unit. PoolRx for Spas is a low-cost mineral pod that streamlines hot tub maintenance. It works in tandem with a continual low level of chlorine – just 0.5-1.0 ppm for home spas. Active for up to 6 months, or until the spa is drained.
